Los Partes del Momento - Concept -> Pictures
The artistic aim of the installation is, how can a certain mood or spirit of an idea/picture be as liveley as possible transferred to the observer. The important part, the artwork thereby is not the installation nor the pictures but the feeling and the mood that is generated by it.
The installation follows the idea that one moment has the potential for several moods. By providing an installation that is separating a distinct moment in its single sensations and impressions (in terms of form, color, 3rd dimension, climate, course of time and chaos), one is able to create different moods with the same moment by individually combining the different impressions.
A certain surrounding with different actions (like wind movements, fire shows...) in which the installation is set up, is another important impression for perceiving a distinct mood. The idea is to show what influence the surrounding has for the perception of a certain moment. Therefor the installation is going to be set up in two different countries (Spain and Germany) and going to be used by two different nationalities.
The participants have the possibility to record either the movements within the installation or the specific environment with a camera and project it over the installation. With a kaleidoscope, made up of different layers of pictures of the installation the projected light is broken up and sent back into the environmet. By doing so a certain connection between the installation, the environment and the participant is generated. The rotatable kaleidoscope, which is also used by the different participants of the two countries, provides the moment a unpredictable chaotic layer.
In the end the key criteria for generating moods and feelings as artwork are:

Form: Black and white drawing of the outlines
Color: Impressionistic picture of the light energy
3rd Dimension: Combining form and color to a three dimensional picture with relief
Climate: A transparent layer to illustrate a climate change in terms of rain fall
Course of time: A Water curtain running over the engraved situation to have a certain movement and a various light and shadow interaction
Adjustable installation: Pictures as individual adjustable layers to generate various situations with the separated qualities (form, color, 3rd dimension, climate, and course of time)
Movable camera: The visitor can decide weather the installation with its movements or the surroundings with its actions shall be recorded and via projector transferred to the installation
Projector with kaleidoscope: A projector is transferring the recorded situation to the installation. The kaleidoscope is braking the situation up and throwing the light into the surrounding. By doing so a certain connection between surrounding and installation is enabled.
